RotoPlay Member Spotlight: Michael Kloes - December 2006

Name: Michael Kloes
City, State: Appleton, WI
Member Name: adadof2

Michael, who works in finance and hails from Wisconsin, has been a loyal member of RotoPlay for the past four years. We would like to thank Michael for all his support since joining us, and look forward to keeping him as a member for years to come. Michael mostly plays our various baseball and football games, where he's finished in the money spots on several occasions, including a grand prize showing in Baseball 2-Week Frenzy during the 2004 season. As our featured member for the month of December, Michael was kind enough to answer the following questions about himself and his involvement in fantasy sports.

Q: What is your favorite fantasy sport to play?

Without a doubt, Fantasy Baseball!

Q: What type of research do you typically do before entering a contest?

I like to view stats, lots of current stats.

Q: When selecting a player to draft, which of these four characteristics do you think is most important: schedule, last years stats, upside or consistency?

Consistency. If you see a player starting to slide with their output, and their age is against them, they probably won't go back up.

Q: Do you consider yourself an expert, above average, average or below average fantasy sports player?

Probably above average, but by no means an expert.

Q: Who is your sleeper pick in football this year?

I think Miami is ready to put on a big move in football.

Q: What is your favorite RotoPlay game?

Baseball Elimination...but I haven't seen it in a while.

Q: How many contests or hometown fantasy league titles have you won?

I won the 2-Week Frenzy once, that was an awesome check to get. I get to the playoffs a lot, but haven't had a lot of success in the championship game.

Q: What are your hobbies and favorite things to do?

I love to read and fish, spend time with my family and watch baseball.

Q: What are your World Series and Super Bowl predictions for this year?

The Mets look awesome, I think Detroit's inexperience will hurt them in the playoffs. For the Super Bowl, I live 30 minutes from Lambeau so I expect the Packers to be there, but in case something happens and they don't make it :-) , I believe Cincinnati is on a mission this year. If Palmer comes back healthy, and that's a big if, the Bengals would be my pick.

Closing thoughts from Michael.

I really enjoy your games. I just wish you would bring the Clubhouse Elimination back, that was a lot of fun.

Thanks again for being a valued member of RotoPlay Michael.
