How do you play? Simple! RotoPlay's Touchdown Challenge is a seventeen (17) week contest in which you draft one NFL player from each of fourteen separate groups. Each of the players you select will accumulate RotoPlay points during the entire season. Your goal is to utilize your fantasy GM skills to build a team, through the pre-season draft and in-season trades, that accumulates more points than your competitors. Score the most RotoPlay points during the contest and you'll win the Grand Prize of $2,500! Great prizes are also awarded to those who finish in the Top 10 overall!

Your Team
Prior to 8:00 PM EST on Thursday, September 6th, you must select a player from each of the groups presented in order to complete your entry. You may change your selections at any time up until the entry deadline by visiting the "My Locker" section of the site. Any changes you make prior to the entry deadline will NOT count against your trade total.
Trade Rules
THE WEEKLY TRADING SCHEDULE HAS BEEN ADJUSTED FOR WEEKS 12 THROUGH 16 TO ALLOW FOR INCREASED FLEXIBILITY. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS.
- The first trades of the season will be allowed for Week 3 games (Sunday, September 23rd). Trading will be available starting on Wednesday, September 19th at 1:00AM EST. Trading will then be allowed weekly for the remainder of the season.
- Trades must be made from within the same group (Example: Group 7 player for another Group 7 player).
- Players accumulate points for your team only when they are on your active roster. If you trade a player away, you keep his previous points, and get the acquired player’s points from the effective date of the trade forward (as long as he remains on your roster).
- You may trade for players dropped in previous trades.
- New players will be added to various groups throughout the season. These players will be available for pick-up starting on the Wednesday at 1am before the next week’s games, and may be acquired through normal trading. Be sure to check the site weekly starting Week 3 to see which new players are available.
- There is no limit on the number of trades you can make each week; however, your total for the season cannot exceed a maximum of 30 trades (the 10 free trades included with every entry, plus the additional 20 trades you may purchase throughout the season).
- Weekly trading schedule is as follows:
- For Week 3 to Week 11 inclusive, trading is only allowed weekly from Wednesday at 1:00 AM EST through Sunday at 1:00 PM EST.
- For Week 12, trading is only allowed from Wednesday at 1:00 AM EST through Thursday a 12:30 PM EST.
- For Week 13 to Week 16 inclusive, trading is only allowed weekly from Wednesday at 1:00 AM EST through Thursday at 8:15 PM EST.
- For Week 17, trading is only allowed from Wednesday at 1:00 AM EST through Saturday at 8:15 PM EST.
Scoring System
Scoring will be updated weekly. Final results will be posted no later than Wednesday January 2nd, 2008. The chart below outlines how you earn points.
Offensive Players
- Each passing touchdown = 6 Points
- Each rushing touchdown = 6 Points
- Each receiving touchdown = 6 Points
- Each pass completion = 1 Point
- Each rushing carry = 1 Point
- Each reception = 3 Points
- Yards passing = 3 Points for every 30 whole yards per game
- Yards rushing + receiving = 3 Points for every 10 whole yards per game (example: 27 yards rushing + 27 yards receiving = 54 whole yards, which = 15 Points)
- Each passing two-point conversion = 2 Points
- Each rushing two-point conversion = 2 Points
- Each receiving two-point conversion = 2 Points
- Bonus points for 300 or more yards passing = 10 Points
- Bonus points for 100 or more yards rushing = 10 Points
- Bonus points for 100 or more yards receiving = 10 Points
- Bonus points for 2 TD game = 7 Points
- Bonus points for 3 TD game = 12 Points
- Bonus points for 4+ TD game = 20 Points
Team Defense/Special Teams
- Each team win = 10 Points
- Each touchdown scored = 6 Points
- Each sack = 3 Points
- Each interception = 4 Points
- Each fumble recovery = 4 Points
- Each safety = 5 Points
- Zero team points allowed = 50 Points
- 2-10 team points allowed = 30 Points
- 11-19 team points allowed = 20 Points
- 20-27 team points allowed = 10 Points
- 28+ team points allowed = Zero Points

Ties
If one or more participants tie for any prize, the prize money will be added together and split equally.
NOTE: All prizes are awarded at the completion of the contest, and will automatically be deposited into your RotoPlay account no later than Wednesday January 2nd, 2008
NOTE: While we prefer you enter online, both faxed and mailed-in entries are accepted for this contest. Please go to 'Game Cards' to see the PDF game card, and please go to the 'Contact' section for our fax and mailing information. Faxed and mailed entries MUST reach us no later than 9:00 AM EST on Thursday September 6th. For weekly trades, faxed or mailed entries MUST reach us no later than 8:00 PM EST of the evening prior to that week's first game. Because there are only 150 spots and we expect to sell out very quickly, if you do wish to participate by fax or mail, drop us a note ASAP at info@rotoplay.com and we will hold a spot for you until your game card and/or cheque arrives in the mail.
