RotoPlay's College Hoops Challenge is a unique and exciting game to play for the fantasy college basketball season. College Hoops Challenge is a month long contest in which your job is to draft one college team from each of the groups presented. Each of the teams you select will accumulate RotoPlay points during the contest. Your goal is to utilize your fantasy GM skills to build a team that accumulates more points than your competitors. Score the most RotoPlay points during the contest and you'll win the Grand Prize of $1,000! Great prizes are also awarded to those who finish in the Top 10!
NOTE: We will offer three separate contests during months of December, January and February.
Cost

Your Team
Prior to 7:00 PM EST on the day a new contest starts, you must select a team from each of the groups presented in order to complete your entry. You may change your selections at any time up until the entry deadline by visiting the "My Locker" section of the site.
NOTE: The teams in each separate group play the same number of games during the contest. Their total cumulative points in the month-long period will count in the contest. We WILL NOT average their points by the number of games they play. While all teams in each group play the same number of games, RotoPlay is not responsible for any schedule changes made by the NCAA or TV Networks.
Lowest Score Dropped
Your single lowest scoring teams score will be dropped from your total score. The score dropped will be the lowest total score for the entire contest period, not each individual week's lowest total score.
Scoring System
Scoring will be updated daily. Final results will be posted on the day after the contest ends. The chart below outlines how you earn points.
Team Scoring
- Each team win = 20 Points
- Each assist = 1 Point
- Each steal = 2 Points
- Each rebound = 0.5 Points (example: 46 total rebounds = 23 Points)
- Each blocked shot = 2 Points
- Each 3-point field goal = 3 Points
- Each turnover = (-2) Points
- FG % for the game is 55% or above = 10 Points
- FG % for the game is 45% or below = (-10) Points
Bonus Points
- Score 85 points or more in a game = 10 Points
- Hold opponent to 60 points or less in a game = 10 Points
Prizes

Ties
If one or more participants tie for a spot in the Top 10, the prize money will be added together and split equally.
NOTE: The maximum number of total entries accepted for each contest is 500, so you're guaranteed to never be competing against more than 500 entries per contest.
NOTE: Mailed-in entries are accepted for this contest, which starts on the first day of the month. They must be postmarked and mailed two days before the contest starts, and reach our office no later than two days after the contest starts. The total number of entries in this contest becomes official on the third day after the contest starts.
